Maria Arrandale, age 86, passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020. Maria was born in New York of Italian immigrants Francesco and Giovanna Caruso and lived a life proud of her heritage. She was a true “Italian Momma” cooking meatball, chicken parmigiana, etc. Feeding her family and friends gave her great joy. “Mangiare, Mangiare,” often echoed in the house. She passed the family recipes onto her children to ensure they would live on forever. No one loved her more than her husband “Gene.” Their love and devotion to each other was boundless. Their life together was full of family, faith and friends. They enjoyed retirement life for 18 years while living in Sun City West - bowling, playing cards, forging new friendships and attending dinner parties.
Maria was eternally proud of her children and grandchildren; always telling anyone who would listen about their accomplishments. She enjoyed spending time talking with them, cooking, sharing stories and of course eating. She also adored the family dogs – hers as well as the “grand” dogs.
Her life in many ways may not have been considered remarkable, but Maria and Gene raised a family of three, remained married for life (setting an example of a loving marriage), worked hard, were devout Catholics, and surrounded themselves with beautiful lasting friendships that became extended family. That Is Remarkable. Together again in heaven.
Maria is predeceased by her husband Eugene Arrandale and survived by her daughter Jina M Ferraro and husband Ronald, son Frank Arrandale and wife Michele, son Eugene Arrandale Jr., grandson Michael Ferraro, Anthony Chase and granddaughter Alicia Arrandale.
