Maria Christian

Maria Christian, 76, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2016 in Tucson, AZ from Alzheimers. Maria was born November 18, 1939 in Samos, Greece to the late Stavros and Gramataki Kondylis. She was the sibling to the late Angela, Nikos, Yargo, Yanni, Kostas, and Dimitrious Kondylis. Maria married Roy Christian on July 29, 1962 in Greece and most recently was the wife to Bill McBride in Arizona. Maria was happiest when she was cooking, baking, going to church, walking or going to lunch with her friends. She was a founding member from 1988 of St. Haralambos Church in Peoria. Survivors left to cherish her memory are daughter, Maria Tetrev (Rob) of Guthrie Center, IA; daughter, Kathy Reynolds of Cordes Lakes, AZ; son, Steven Christian of Chandler, AZ; and son, Jimmy Christian (Carolyn) of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Brian, Richard and Maria Courcey, Roy and Jordan Christian, Nicholas and Kristina Reynolds, and Caylee Christian; great grandchildren, Ethan and Caitlyn Courcey, Dominik and Melanie Jones, Rhea, Castiel and Catalina Christian; sister, Vagilo and brother, Andraus Kondylis. Visitation is Thursday, May 19, 5:30-8:30PM, at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351. Funeral service is Friday, May 20, 9:30AM, at St. Haralambos Greek Orthodox Church, 7950 W. Pinnacle Peak Road, Peoria, AZ 85383 with Father Michael Pallad officiating. Entombment will follow at Sunland Memorial Park. Luncheon follows at Brothers Family Restaurant, 8466 W.
