Marilyn Fae Radford passed away peacefully on Oct. 29, after a decade long fight with Alzheimer's disease. Born April 15, 1924 in Kansas City, MO, and adopted by a loving couple Lena and Luther Adams in July 1924. Marilyn's husband of 61 years, Raymond Robert (Bob) Radford preceded her 10 years ago. They had two children, Sharon Fae Jegen, Lee's Summit, MO and Robert Keith Radford, Phoenix, AZ. She had two biological brothers, Kenneth Steele who lives in Florida and Charles Steele and one adopted brother, Edward Adams. Marilyn went to work as an entry level file clerk but soon achieved recognition of her talents at the Bendix Corp., an Aviation Facility that supported the armed forces with missile guidance systems. While working full time she earned her Bachelors degree in chemistry at the age of 55, gaining her a highly regarded position in the special unit's lab. Also surviving are four grandchildren Lindsay and Chelsea Radford, Eric Jegen and Kimberly Jegen-Crawford and four great grandchildren. Bob and Marilyn moved to Sun City West in 1979 after retiring where they went into the real estate business. Marilyn excelled setting office records in real estate sales and later served as the 1991 president of the Sun City Board of Realtors. Marilyn volunteered for various community services throughout her life and helped raise funds for community causes such as Alzheimer's research during her time as president on the Board of Realtors. She was a loving, thoughtful, compassionate, witty, charming, and gracious lady who enriched the lives of her friends and family. She made the world a better place. We will greatly miss her.
