

Mary M. Finley, 95, of Sun City, passed away on April 18, 2015. She was born on March 30, 1920, in Roanoke Rapids, NC, to Leroy and Myrtle Meade. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 49 years, Raymond Finley, her parents and her brother, Larry T. Meade.
Mary met her beloved husband, Ray, when she was a member of her church choir where he was choir director. Shortly after their marriage in NC they moved to IL where they resided until 1951, when they moved to Greenbelt, MD. Mary was a homemaker and mother for many years then worked for the University of MD for 10 years before she and her husband retired and moved to Sun City in 1974. Mary resided at Sun Valley Lodge in Sun City for the past five years. Mary was an avid bridge player and was active in her church circle at First United Methodist Church where she was a member.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother and friend to many. Mary is survived by her two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Keith Collett, and Joellyn and Dan Weiss; two granddaughters, Crystal Shea and Michelle Rill; and two great grandchildren, Brandon Feltz and Heather Feltz as well as numerous nephews and extended family members in the Phoenix area. A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, April 27, First United Methodist Church, 9849 N. 105th Avenue, Sun City, AZ. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First United Methodist Church, 9849 N. 105th Ave., Sun City, AZ. Arrangements handled by Sunland Mortuary in Sun City, AZ.
