

Born June 3, 1928 in Laurel, Montana to Esther Goldeye Rutter and Emil Joseph Kircheis.
Died September 30, 2013 in Sun City, Arizona.
Nadean spent her youth in Billings, Montana, graduating from Billings Senior High School in 1946. She then attended the University of Montana, where she met and married Cleo Henry Schroeder on March 20, 1948, in Billings, Montana. She told fascinating stories of their early years together in Montana, and they eventually settled in Missoula where they raised their four children.
Nadean was a dedicated homemaker and enjoyed sharing in her children’s and grandchildren’s accomplishments. She was known for her cooking and penchant for collecting cookbooks and recipes of all kinds. Her homemade noodles were a family favorite. She was an accomplished quilter, winning prizes for her work. She was an avid reader. Nadean enjoyed the water, from collecting seashells on the beaches in South Carolina, to fishing on Hebgen Lake, to water aerobics in the pool in Arizona. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Seton parish in Sun City.
She is survived by her husband, Cleo, her children; Lon (Laura) Schroeder of Helena, MT, Laurie (Dave) Claxton of Billings, MT, Karen (Troy) Joiner of Castle Rock, WA, Steve (Tyra) Schroeder of Columbia City, OR, grandchildren; Chris Schroeder, Pat Schroeder, Shawn Claxton, Kim Ferguson, Mark Claxton, Kevin Claxton, Lee Kearcher and Stephen Kearcher, and several great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister, Helen Wheeler in Oklahoma.
