Patricia Ann Drake

Patricia Ann Drake returned home to be with her Heavenly Father on the morning of November 14, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones. Patricia, or “Pat,” was born on September 21, 1931 in Inglewood, California to Anders D and Yula McKenzie.

Pat met her sweetheart Calvin Drake in 1973 and was married in that same year. They have been inseparable ever since. Pat had a great love of our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Next to the Lord, her family always came first. Pat could often be found in the kitchen helping her sweet husband cook to make sure every person was happy and full. Pat was a creative, artistic person who loved to knit, crochet and paint. Pat was loved by everyone who knew her and her bright, happy smile and welcoming personality. Pat is survived by her sweet husband Calvin Drake and her children Michael (Beth) Moser and Cynthia (Mark) Busch. She leaves behind a wonderful legacy of 17 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren (and counting—4 more due to be born next year…) and will be missed greatly by all those who knew her. We know that this isn’t goodbye, only a brief parting until we will be reunited together forever. Her memorial service was held on November 18, 2017 at 11:30 am at the Sunland Funeral Home in Sun City Arizona. Internment was held at the same place immediately afterward.
