To Uncle Leon, my cousins Jim and Stuart, I hope you can find comfort where it is given best, from the Great Comforter, in the days ahead.  I have so many fond memories of spending time with the Schwalbe family, both in New Berlin and Cedarburg.  Our 'boy' cousins were so much like little brothers growing up, and your mom let us just 'be' who we all were and are.  Sometimes aunts and uncles can be the next best thing to the parents, and I can say that is true for my aunt Pat.  I have nothing but admiration and respect for this woman I have known my whole life.   Her doll clothes she made for all her nieces, her cooking, her compliments on my perms for her so many years ago, and of course her gifted art.  I wish I could have taken lessons from her myself!   She has left a deep mark and emptiness for many.   Sending sympathy and love to you all.  Shellie

My dear Aunt and God mother, 
So many memories with Aunts, Uncles and cousins gathering at the New Berlin house;  being a lucky recipient of your beautiful artwork over the years including a beautiful portrait of my golden retrievers; you never forgot my birthday as my God Mother, always sending a birthday card every year;  you said to me once many years ago that “sometimes adversity can make us a better person.”  I have never forgotten that.   I do believe you are skipping around in heaven with a paint brush in your hands, painting the heavenly scenery. 

I will miss you my dear Aunt, may you finally be at peace.
