passed away on Dec. 6, 2015 in Sun City, AZ. after a long illness. She was born July 8, 1945 in Wooster, Ohio to the late Helen and Earl Saltzman. When she was very young her family moved to Wadsworth, Ohio where Penny graduated from Wadsworth Senior High School in 1963. Penny married Danny J. Engler on Sept. 21, 1963 in Wadsworth, Ohio. Penny is the mother to daughter Daneen M. Walker of Peoria, Arizona and son Danny J. Engler, Jr. (Deceased) and our son-in-law, who is like a son to us, Mark Walker. She also leaves behind sisters Carol R. Deem of Wadsworth, Ohio and Sandra K. Kilgo of Charlotte, N. C., many cousins, nieces and nephews. When Penny and Dan married, Dan was in the U.S.A.F. After many moves and separations they ended up at Luke AFB, in Glendale, AZ. After Daneen and Danny started school, Penny went to work for Nabisco Brands as a merchandizer and retired after 20 years with them. Just to show her sense of humor, a week later she took a job with Keebler, Nabisco’s competition until she called it quits in 2006. Penny possessed a personality and sense of humor that out-shined the sun and won you over as a life- long friend almost as soon as you met her. To celebrate Penny’s life and her passing her memorial service will be Sat., Jan. 9, 2016 at 2pm at Sunland Memorial Park Mortuary of Sun City, AZ. In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation to our favorite charity in memory of Penny and our son Danny J. Engler, Jr., or your favorite charity in memory of Penny.
