Born and raised in Centralia, Washington, Phyllis later met her husband, LTC Charles J. Walker, in San Francisco. They shared 48 wonderful years together until his passing in 2010. Throughout their marriage, they enjoyed a life of adventure, living and traveling both across the United States and abroad. Beyond her love for travel, Phyllis was an avid reader and was known for doting on her beloved dogs.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter Karen and husband Ken Jacobs; her grandchildren, Carly Jacobs and Kyle Hayes Jacobs, along with his wife, Brianna; and her great-grandson, Wesley.
A private gathering will be held to celebrate her life.
