Rae Lavon Sletten

Rae Lavon Sletten, 85, of Peoria, Arizona passed away June 13, 2018. She was born November 5, 1932 to Francis and Lorraine (McLean) Stockman in Alamo, North Dakota. In 1953 Rae married her husband of 65 years, Ervin Sletten. Over the years, Rae made many houses into homes as Ervin’s job with Ford Motor Credit took the family to many different states, as well as South Africa and Puerto Rico. Rae and Ervin moved to Peoria, Arizona in 1998. She enjoyed golf, tennis, bridge, knitting, and cheering on the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Rae was predeceased by her son Marc in 2011, as well as her brother Donald and her brother-in-law Walt Groth. She is survived by her loving husband Ervin; her children Michael (Mary) Sletten of Colleyville, TX and Karen (Phil) Crisp of Peoria, AZ; her grandchildren Michael LaCross of Raleigh, NC, John Sletten of Denver, CO, and Erin (Kevin) Derderian of Grapevine, TX; her great grandchildren Benjamin, George and Heidi Derderian; her brother Richard (Dorothy) Stockman of Peoria, AZ; her sisters Shirley Groth of Williston, ND and Marilyn (William) Mitchell of Fargo, ND, as well as her sister-in-law Sonja Stockman of Fargo, ND and Sun City, AZ; and her 14 nieces and nephews.

Rae was a loving mother and wife and she will be missed dearly. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ.
