grandfather, was born on October 29th, 1949, in Eccles, Guyana, South America.
Ramesh was an avid naturalist and educator for most of his life. He completed high school at
Indian Education Trust College in Georgetown, Guyana. He received his Bachelors of Science
from the University of Guyana in 1976. Before leaving Guyana in 1980 with his wife, Sarojnie,
and one-year-old daughter, Tanuja, he taught at Indians Education Trust College in Georgetown
and at the University of Guyana. His love for wildlife and biology made an amazing impact on
his students, and people whose lives he touched.

for Ramesh and his family. His love for and devotion to his family motivated him to take any job
at his disposal. After working for five years as an assistant manager at Green Tree Nursery, he
became a quality assurance director for Arizona Natural Resources, where he worked for fifteen
years. He was instrumental in implementing a most amazing Quality control Program for ANR.
His calling for teaching prompted him to return to the classroom. After completing his Masters of
Education at Capella University he pursued his passion for student empowerment, teaching 7th
grade science at Desert Sands Middle School.
Ramesh devoted his life to the service of his community, his family, and his friends, and never
missed an opportunity to lend a helping hand. A point of pride for Ramesh was returning home
to Guyana to perform the last Hindu rites for his parents after they passed away. Ramesh
created Children’s Cricket in the West Valley when he saw a need for more involvement of
children in sports.
Ramesh was multi-talented as an artist, a musician, master gardener, grill master, and home
chef. He generously gifted his produce to family, friends and the community.
