Ray was a “big” personality full of charisma, he could make any gathering alive and fun with his quick wit. He believed in hard work and play. As a man of many talents his career included working on oil rigs, farms, the timber industry in both labor & management, followed by business ownership ( the Alaska Shop and the Pit Bar in Seward, AK), and serving the community as mayor of Seward. In Arizona he bought & sold real estate & had rental properties. He loved golf, gardening, sports & travel.
As family we will miss our dad and grandfather, the love, the mentoring, the advice and the endless help that he shared with each of us so readily. His presence will also be missed by the residents & staff in his senior community, by his golf buddies, by old friends & colleagues. The family would like to thank those who have reached out with condolences for the thoughts and prayers.
