Dear Cousin Dorothy and family,

We were so saddened to hear of  the passing of your dear husband  Rick.  He was such a lovely person and the wonderful soulmate - whom you  were so fortunate to find later in life.  I remember with fondness my visit out to see you and to meet Rick, as well as to see cousin Nancy again.  It was a blessed reunion.

I will remember Rick for many things  .. especially the wonderful dinners he cooked, hiking in Whit Tanks, the spring training baseball games, his love of clamming (and all those clams he brought to me), his bright smile and how much he loved my dear Friend, Dorothy and all of his lovely children and grandchildren. I will miss him forever as I know you all will as well. Please know that your sorrow is shared with many. My sincere condolences to all of You!

Dear Carolyn, Jim, Rusty and Chris, I met your father for the first time when I came to visit my nursing school friend Dorothy who had just moved to Tucson from Boston. She was on her second ‘date’ with Rick and they were cooking dinner for me and my husband. I was on the back deck when he came out and I asked him what kind of bird it was sitting on a cactus. He not only told me the name of the bird but then loudly imitated  the bird’s call! Your father was such a gentleman and he had a wonderful sense of humor, always a perfect host, generous, a great cook and knowing him for so many years enriched my life so much.  Please accept my deepest sympathies.

Rick was a wonderful person and we will miss him very much.  May he Rest In Peace and May his memory forever be a blessing.
