Robert John Alvey, age 79, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2026, after a battle with lung disease in Phoenix, Arizona. He was born on August 22, 1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to John Moroni Alvey and Erma Wood Rosander Alvey. He had no brother and sister.
He began attending the Ogden Deaf School as a young child and completed his education there upon graduation. He worked at Holy Cross Hospital for a long time before moving to Los Angeles, California, where he was employed as an IBM sorter at the Main Branch of Bank of America for 21 years. Two years later, he decided to move out of California and settled in Glendale, Arizona. After he shared a two-month trip with a friend through four states, he returned home and then he moved to Phoenix, AZ. around 1998.
He mostly loved many beautiful flowers and always enjoyed the gardens in different places in Hawaii and some different states. He also enjoyed drawing some flowers, real well.
Robert had always been seen with nice smiles and very sweet.
He will be buried at Sunland Memorial Park in Sun City after a private funeral on Monday, 20th of July.
