Robert Anthony Marchenonis, Sr., 79, of Peoria, AZ passed away March 17, 2014. “Bob” was born in Nashua, NH on November 17, 1934 to Esther and Anthony Marchenonis. Bob joined the Marine Corps at 18 years old and served for 4 years as a Military Police Officer. Following his service, he became a Nashua Firefighter for 2 years, and served on the Nashua Police Force as a Patrol Officer and Booking Officer for 20 years. After moving to Arizona, Bob held positions as a security guard and dispatcher at ASU West until retiring in 2003 to pursue his true passion... golf! Bob was a member of the Elks as well as the American Legion and Westbrook Village Golf Club. Bob leaves behind his loving wife of 11 years Rose, his two children, Robert Anthony, Jr. (Julianne), and Sandra Laine (Phil). He also leaves 5 grandchildren, Jennifer, Amalia, Matthew , and Emily and Elizabeth to cherish his memory. Services with Military Honors will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. in Phoenix on Tuesday, March 25th at 10:30am.
