In my short time of knowing Roger, he was always proud of my achievements and offered many encouragements. When I married Brianna, he was one of the first to welcome me into the family. He loved his family, driving long distances to visit each and every one. He also has a wealth of knowledge in sports whenever the conversation came up. He'll definitely be missed for sure.

I was afforded the opportunity to work with Roger and Sandra in 2017, in the sale of their MN home.  Roger was a sound businessman, with a fine wit, and a warm host.  Especially, to the buyer of their lovely, thoughtfully improved property, who was kindly shown around and instructed in the operation of the yard/garden equipment she had also purchased.  Roger had her running the tiller and riding the mower around the yard to be sure she was comfortable operating them. :)

I thoroughly enjoyed every encounter with them both, and am very saddened at the news.  My deepest sympathies to Sandra and all of Roger's loved ones.

The great bonus for marrying Mike Decker was the wonderful family I became part of. I immediately loved Roger's parents, and when I first met Roger, it was if I had always known and liked him. I was shocked by his passing--a huge loss to his wife, children and their families, and all his many relatives and friends. I hold his big smile in my mind, and it makes me smile in return.

When in my youth I spent summers on the Jammer farm in Iowa, my cousin Roger always took me around, introduced me to his friends, and included me in his activities. I was never as good at sports or farm work as he was, but he accepted me for myself. I felt very much a part of that family. I always enjoyed his visits to California, and regret that we didn't spend more time together in later years, but I always respected him and admired his accomplishments. I will sincerely miss him in my life, and will always cherish the fond memories.
