Ruth Esther Brockelman Whittaker passed away June 9, 2016 at the age of 91. She was born September 7, 1924 in Akron, Ohio to her late parents Fred and Maggie Burtoft. She had three siblings, James, Joe and Elizabeth.
After high school Ruth met her late husband Willard Arnold Whittaker. They were blessed with four children, sons Jerry and Kevin, and daughters Donna and Beth. Later on in life she met Eldon Brockelman and was married to Eldon until her passing.
She enjoyed card games, collecting purses, decorating cakes and entertaining at her home.
She is survived by her husband Eldon Brockelman. Jerry and (Carroll) Whittaker, Kevin and (Carrie) Whittaker, daughters Donna Whittaker and Beth and (John) Newton. Grandchildren Lisa, Todd, Danny, Tiffany, Connie and Jason.
Services are June 16, 2016 with pastor Dale from Radiant Church presiding. Committal will follow after the service. Pallbearers are John and Jason Newton, David and Anthony Worthen and Steve Brockelman.
