

Sandra Lee Hamrick (DeSanti), beloved mother passed away on July 7, 2026 at 6:30 a.m. of heart failure. Her final moments were spent peacefully with Cheryl, who was honored to be holding her hand and handing her back to her husband, David. The days leading up to her passing were spent with close family members and friends. She is survived by 6 brothers, Don, Paul, James, Douglas, Phillip, Rodney, and her beloved sister Maridell. Sandra was pre-deceased by her parents, Paul and Anise DeSanti and brothers, John, Frank and Benjamin.
David Earl Hamrick, beloved father passed away on July 9, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. of heart failure. His final moments were spent peacefully with Sandra and Cheryl, who were holding his hand as he began his new life. The days leading up to his passing were also spent with close family members and friends. He is survived by his 2 sisters, Betty and Reba. David was pre-deceased by his parents, Truett and Era Hamrick and his baby sister, Karen.
David was born in Sulphur Bluff, Texas on August 24, 1936. His family moved to Phoenix, Arizona when he was a teenager. Sandra was born in Phoenix, Arizona on September 1, 1941. David and Sandra met in Phoenix, Arizona and began their life together on December 15, 1958. Married just shy of 60 years when David began his eternal life, their wish was to be remembered/celebrated and placed in their final resting place together. They embodied the true definition of their wedding vows.
David was a civil engineer for J.I. Case Company and retired after 40 plus years. He could troubleshoot and repair just about anything around the house or on a vehicle. Sandra was the domestic engineer of the family, at times working in school cafeterias or as the school crossing guard. She ultimately retired from the men’s department at Dillard’s. Sandra was almost always David’s assistant when he was working on vehicles or doing repairs around the house.
David and Sandra were devoted to each other and their 5 kids, 16 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren . Each were always involved with the kid’s sports and extra curricular activities. Summer vacations almost always revolved around long road trips, camping at various lakes and rivers in Arizona and fishing. Later, their beloved fifth wheel became their main mode of transportation for other various adventurous road trips.
David and Sandra were blessed with 5 children, John (married to Victoria), Edward, William (married to Gina), Cheryl and Douglas; 16 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Anthony, Jonathon, Marcus, Crystal, Alexandria, David, Shannon, Jack, Jillian, Gabriella, Vincent, Kohl, Kyle, Kade and Kreg; and 12 great grandchildren, Remi, Aiden, Nicolas, Gabriella, Liviana, James, Sienna, Sapphira, Ryan, Jordan, Miles, and Haven. They were so proud of their family and the lives they built together which was a life well lived with a love that lasts forever ♥.
The family of David and Sandra Hamrick warmly invite you to join them for a memorial service to celebrate and honor them, interment of ashes and lunch. We will gather at Sunland Memorial Park and Mortuary, 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, Arizona 85351 on December 15, 2026 at 11:00 a.m.
