The service was beautiful, and I enjoyed hearing about Selma's many talents and connections. My favorite memory of Selma is from April 2012 when my husband and I and our two young children were warmly welcomed to a Shabbat dinner at Nina's, and chatting with Selma, who was visiting Nina. It was during Passover but was not a seder night. I remember the genuine interest Selma had in us, and how sharp, kind and worldly she was. And how extremely gracious she was. It was such a lovely evening. May her memory, and Rabbi Seymour's, always be for a blessing.

I only got to spend a little time with Mrs. Moskowitz, but I was impressed by two things. One was her intelligence; she was clearly one of the smartest people around. The other was her genuine interest in me, and willingness to share her perspective so freely. When I had a conversation with her, I felt seen, and felt honored to be the subject of her interest, as she was clearly a very special person.  Her presence was truly a gift, and her memory will be as well.

Seymour and Selma were customers of my handyman business, but quickly became my very dear friends. I learned so much from both of them and in many ways felt like I was one of their gentile children. I remember several times I would go to work on their home but a conversation would ensue, four hours would pass, and we would put the job off until the next day. I have missed Seymour for several years already and during that time Selma and I would enjoy some of the little remembrances that would bring smiles to the both of us. I will miss the pure heart of Selma from now on.

Your Mom was so much fun! Besides being an excellent Pan card player, wonderful conversationalists, she was a very good friend to all.  You were blessed with the best Mom ever. Hugs to you all, she will be dearly missed.


When I remember your mom and dad it brings back a wonderful time in my life. Living next door in Ayer MA was a long time ago but it seems like yesterday.  I am sending love to all of you
