She was born on March 6, 1941 in North Tonawanda, New York to Carlson and Lillian(Evans) Osgood. She married James Hingston in Seattle, WA in 1962.
Shala was preceded in death by her husband, Jim, her parents and her step-daughter, Linda Johnston.
She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Hawkins and her step-son, Ron Hingston as well as several cousins and dear friends.
A Memorial & Celebration of Life will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Peoria, 10236 N. 83rd Ave. Peoria, AZ. 85345, on July 23, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Peoria (or) Pristine Hospice.
Her final resting place will be at Sunland Memorial Cemetery in the Garden of Devotion in Sun City, AZ.
