

Shirley passed away unexpectedly, but peacefully, on September 6, 2015. She was born in Memphis, Tennessee on March 13, 1935. She is preceded in death by her parents Marcus Marion Marble and Anna Mary Hanna Marble and her brother Marcus M. Marble, Jr. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Arizona State College in 1957 and taught in Arizona for twenty-five years in the districts of Buckeye, Stanfield, and Mohawk Valley. Shirley married Andrew Jackson Dail III in 1957 and from that moment she was always on his arm.
Together they raised three strong, caring daughters Trine, Mary, and Liz. Shirley was an organizer at home and in the community. She was the chairperson of the Friendship Circle 3 of Sun City Christian Church (DOC). She also enjoyed the friendships and activities of P.E.O. She believed in the work of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
Shirley is fondly remembered and greatly missed by her adored and adoring husband of fifty-eight years, Jack Dail, her three daughters and sons in law, Katherine Anne Hulstrand (Michael), Mary Hanna Anderson Holsinger (Erik), Elizabeth Diane Bauer (Jason), her grandchildren, Zackary Jackson Wood, Wesley Hayden Wood, Jane Katherine Wood, Ronald Thomas Anderson II, and Kaily Drew Bauer, her extended family, and many friends.
