

Susan Kessler, 89, passed away August 6, 2016. She was born in New York and moved to Arizona in 1976. Susan married Lester Kessler and they were married 60 years before his passing in 2006. During WWII, she was a Rosie the Riveter and proud of her work supporting the war effort. In her earlier years Susan was talented in oil painting. She also enjoyed bowling and in later years became excellent at Wii bowling. Susan was an active member of Hadassah, the Lions Club, board member for the Mrs. Arizona Pageant and a mentor to many young women. She also belonged to many other organizations and groups. She was a loving, nurturing grandmother and enjoyed her time spent with her grandchildren after school and in summer. She is survived by devoted daughter Leslie (husband Richard); grandchildren, Gregory (wife Tami), Bethany (husband Alvin) and Gaites (fiancée Kaylee); great-grandchildren, Mikaela, Samantha, Wyatt, Dominic and Braeden. She is also survived by brother Jerry DeCarlo, brother-in-law Dr. Matthew Kessler and daughter Valerie. Susan had numerous friends and will be missed by all who knew her.
