

Born February 12, 1939 in Faribault, Minnesota to Joseph Steyer and Phoebe Warburton Steyer. He was preceded in death by his brother James Steyer, and sisters Roberta Sharp and Janet Wallace, nephew Michael Sharp, and a granddaughter, Mary Elizabeth Bageant.
He is survived by his wife, Susann, sister Sharon Forbes, his four children: David Steyer, Pamela (and husband, David Bageant), Karen Mossor, and Kimberly (and husband, Ron Gerdung), many nieces and nephews, ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
As his father was in the Air Force, his family lived in many states and foreign countries. While in high school in Maryland he met his sweetheart, Susann Snyder, they have enjoyed a marriage of 67 exciting years.
He earned his bachelor's degrees in foreign language and accounting while in the Air Force and obtained the title of Captain in the Air Force. Prior to his 20 plus years of service in the Air Force, his careers included computer programmer, commercial fisherman, and after retirement in Arizona, he was a realtor and invested in rental housing.
He had many hobbies which include golfing, fishing, playing cards with family and friends, watching movies with popcorn, reading novels, crossword puzzles, stock market, going to the beach while living in Hawaii, picnic lunches and especially gift giving.
He was a fun-loving man, always looking for ways to celebrate. He even created a personal holiday, “Childrens’ Day”. Christmas was anytime of the year. He kept the Christmas tree up and would daily turn the lights on!
He loved feeding the birds and squirrels so that his sweethearts, Susann and daughter, Karen could enjoy the entertainment through the beautiful picture window.
He truly strived to bring joy to all his loved ones and will be greatly missed.
