Thomas J. Dluhy, age 83, passed away on June 21, 2019. He was born on December 20, 1935, in North Vandergrift, PA. He joined the Air Force the day after his high school graduation. He married Carol Jean Ader on March 21, 1956. During his 20-year career in the Air Force working with ammunitions, he traveled around the world and also served in the Viet Nam War. Tom played many sports during his life; including golf, baseball (including playing professional baseball for an Italian baseball team in Florence, Italy), softball, volleyball and bowling. His family would travel throughout Europe to watch him compete with his squadron while he was stationed in Italy. After retiring from the Air Force, Tom purchased a locksmith business, named Stagecoach Locksmiths, which he operated until 2016. He loved to play cards with his buddies, and enjoyed getting together with them as often as he could. He had a wonderful sense of humor and had so many long-time friends over the years, which he cherished so much. He is predeceased by his wife, Carol, his parents, Joseph and Elizabeth Dluhy, his sisters, Margaret, Lillian and Betty, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Lillian Ader, and his son-in-law, Larry Turley. He is survived by his children, Kim Turley, Linda (Brian) Cummings and Scott Dluhy, 11 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and a brother, Rudy Dluhy. A Visitation will be held Monday, July 8, 2019 from 6:30pm to 8:00pm at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 N. Del Webb Blvd. Sun City, AZ 85351. The Graveside Service will be held on Tuesday, July 9, 2019 at 9:30am at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 Cave Creek Road, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
