

Ginger, a cherished member of our community, passed away peacefully on May 18th, 2024 at the age of 86. Born on September 29, 1937, Ginger was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was an unwavering friend who dedicated her life to the service of others, embodying a spirit of generosity and kindness that touched the lives of many. A pillar of her church, Ginger was deeply involved in numerous church activities. Her faith was the cornerstone of her life, and she found great joy in contributing to her faith community. Whether organizing events, leading prayer groups, or offering a comforting word, her presence was a source of inspiration and strength for her fellow parishioners. Ginger was also a passionate advocate for her community. She participated in various local initiatives, always eager to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her commitment to improving the lives of others was evident in her volunteer work and the countless hours she spent supporting the community. Known for her boundless generosity, Ginger had a heart that was always open. She gave freely of her time, resources, and love, leaving an indelible mark on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her home was a haven of warmth and hospitality, where friends and family were always welcomed with open arms. Ginger had a close circle of friends who cherished her companionship and wisdom. Her laughter, compassion, and unwavering support were a source of comfort and joy. She cultivated friendships that spanned many years, each one a testament to her remarkable ability to connect with others. Preceded in death by her husband Joseph F. Sublett and Dorthy Crosier (sister), she will be survived by her children Doug Sublett, Robyn Halprein and Aaron Sublett and their spouses Kristin Sublett, Scott Halprein and Donna Sublett. She was the proud Grandmother to five grandchildren: Jax Sublett, Grayson Sublett, Connor Havre, Kira Havre, and Nicole Serfontein. She also had two great grandchildren: Hunter and Quinn Serfontein. Ginger is also survived by siblings Richard Bowers, Betty Boring and her fur baby companion Kylo.
A memorial service for Ginger will be held on Sunday, June 2nd from 1-3pm at the Village at Vistancia Clubhouse, 29701 N Sunrise Point, Peoria, AZ 85383. The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 3rd at 11am at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the Wounded Warrior Project in her memory, two causes that were close to her heart. Though she is no longer with us, Gingers ’s light will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
