

Bill graduated from Colorado Springs High School and the University of Denver. He was a proud member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He received a Master’s Degree in Marketing from Denver University. Bill served in the U.S. Army, stationed in Chicago, IL. He worked 20 years in the savings and loan industry in Colorado and later insurance sales in St. Louis, MO. He worked with the Automotive Service Association, first in Missouri and later as the first Executive Director in Arizona. Bill was a 2nd generation Rotary International member, where he was a member of the Ballwin, MO, Club and he served as a founder and president of the Chesterfield, MO club. Bill enjoyed music, dancing, and sports of all kinds but especially Broncos football and St. Louis Cardinals and Diamondbacks baseball.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Jim and John Mason, son William B. Mason, and grandson Matthew L. Mason.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years Leslie Fountain, Peoria, AZ; son Kenneth F. Mason (wife Gayle), Denver, CO; daughter-in-law Alison Mason, Castle Rock, CO; grand daughters, Alaina Meyers, Lauren Schlager and Kerry Mason; great grand daughter, Jade Moore; brothers-in-law, Scott (Stacey) Bonar and Douglas (partner Teresa) Bonar; nieces and nephews, Amanda, Samantha, Jeremy, Carly, Jake, Erin, Zachery Bonar; and two adoring Cocker Spaniels, Bambi and Phantom.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Nov. 5, 1PM at Sunland Mortuary, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, Bill requested contributions to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in memory of James R. Mason (3877 N. 7th St., Phoenix AZ 85014) or the Altrusa Intl. Club of the West Valley (PO Box 8447, Surprise AZ 85374).
