William Arthur "Bill" Royal, 93, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10, 2014 at his residence. He was born on March 5, 1921 in Des Moines, Iowa to William and Lulu (Bates) Royal. He married Miriam M. Stroh of Albuquerque, NM on November 21, 1953.
Bill served in the U.S. Army during World War II as a pilot with the 390th Bomb Crew. He joined the army in November 1942 and retired as a captain in August 1962. He was a B-17 pilot with the 390th Bomb Crew and flying during the Air Offensive Europe campaign.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Miriam. Bill will be laid to rest with military honors at a later date.
He will be deeply missed, but carried in our hearts forever.
