Adones Montehermoso Puig-Hink

It is with profound sadness and immeasurable love that we announce the passing of Adones Montehermoso Puig-Hink, who passed away on July 3, 2026, at the age of 23.

Born on October 2, 2002, Adones was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, boyfriend, friend, and sailor whose life touched countless people. From the beginning, he was surrounded by love and brought a special light into the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

Adones was a Christian whose faith was an important part of his life. His family finds comfort knowing that he was deeply loved and that his faith continues to bring hope and peace during this difficult time.

Adones was truly the life of the party. He had a fun-loving, outgoing personality and a natural ability to make people laugh. His sense of humor, energy, and unforgettable presence could brighten any room. He loved bringing people together, creating memories, and making sure everyone around him was having a good time. Whether he was sharing a joke, telling stories, or singing karaoke, Adones had a way of making ordinary moments unforgettable. His laughter was contagious, and his joy was a gift to everyone who knew him.

Adones enjoyed life and embraced experiences that brought excitement and happiness. He loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed going to the casino, where he appreciated the excitement, the atmosphere, and the memories made along the way. Karaoke was another favorite pastime, giving him the perfect opportunity to have fun, entertain others, and share his outgoing spirit.

Adones also had a passion for working on cars. He enjoyed learning, building, and spending time in the garage, especially alongside his dad. One of the most meaningful projects they shared was an import car they were working on together—a car that was meant to one day be his. Those moments spent turning wrenches, sharing knowledge, and creating memories with his father were a special reflection of their bond and the love they shared.

Adones proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a Petty Officer Second Class, Electronics Technician Second Class (ET2). He was stationed in San Diego, California, and served aboard the USS Halsey (DDG-97), where he dedicated himself to his shipmates, his responsibilities, and the mission of the United States Navy.

During his time in the Navy, Adones deployed and had the opportunity to visit several places throughout the Southeast Pacific. These experiences allowed him to see the world, create lasting memories, and represent his country with pride and dedication. His service reflected his commitment, perseverance, and willingness to be part of something greater than himself.

Even in his final act of kindness, Adones continued to give the gift of life. As an organ donor, he entered the operating room on July 7, 2026, allowing his generosity and compassion to live on. Through his donation, Adones has saved four lives to date, leaving behind a legacy of love, selflessness, and hope. His final gift reflects the person he was—someone who cared deeply and continued bringing light into the lives of others.

Adones is survived by his loving parents, Adones Hink and Renee Puig-Hink; his siblings, Izaiah Celestine and Malaya Puig-Hink; his grandparents, Luis Puig II, Cora Puig, Michelle Hall, and his Lola, Nemia Hink; his uncle, Luis Puig III; his aunt, Tala Bangis; his cousins, Eriana Teczon, Luis Puig IV, and Waylon Bangis; and his beloved girlfriend, Audrey Beaver.

He also leaves behind countless friends, extended family members, and his military family—the brothers, sisters, and lifelong connections he made through his service. The bonds Adones created throughout his life extended far beyond blood, and the love and support surrounding him were a testament to the impact he had on so many people.

Throughout his life, Adones was surrounded by people who loved him deeply, and his lifelong childhood friends held a special place in his heart. In his final moments, they remained faithfully by his side—a testament to the unbreakable bonds they had built over the years. Their presence reflected a lifetime of friendship, loyalty, and love, offering comfort and reminding everyone of the lasting impact Adones had on those fortunate enough to call him a friend.

Although Adones’ life was far too short, the impact he made will last forever. He will be remembered for his faith, infectious laughter, outgoing spirit, playful personality, dedication to his country, passion for cars, love for his family and friends, and his selfless gift of giving others a second chance at life.

His family will forever hold close the memories of his smile, his jokes, his songs, his stories, and the countless moments of laughter he gave to others. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched, the sailors he served beside, the friendships he formed, and the four lives he helped save.
