Albert Michael Halowell

Albert Michael Halowell, age 69, passed away on December 26, 2022 peacefully at home. He was the beloved husband of Christine (McCoy) Halowell. They shared 43 years of marriage, but were friends for many years before they were married! Al and Chris were high school sweethearts!

Born in the eastern suburbs of Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of George and Bertha (Gunning) Halowell. Al graduated in the last class from Verona High School in 1971. Al’s dad, George, graduated in the first class of Verona High School in 1928. Al also graduated from Thomas Jefferson State College with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. While he worked with many companies in the electronics, medical, and overall business industries, his last employment was with Agilent Technologies in Arizona. He also owned a software company where he created operating room software for his wife Chris! Al retired in 2013.

Al was a member of St. Claire of Assisi Catholic Church in Surprise, AZ. He was also deemed a Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) by the National Association of Purchasing Management, Inc. Al enjoyed photography, even photographing weddings in his younger days in Pittsburgh. Since relocation to Arizona 25 years ago, Al especially enjoyed taking photos of desert scenery, beautiful flowers, as well as hot air balloons. He traveled to Albuquerque many years for the Hot Air Balloon Festival.

Al will be remembered for his marvelous sense of humor and very quick wit! He was kind, caring, compassionate, loving, and generous to a fault! He was extremely electronic savvy and served many family and friends as their electronic guru.

Al is survived by his wife, Chris!

Al’s funeral service will be held on Wed., January 4, 2022, at 11:30am, at Surprise Funeral Home, 16063 W. Bell Rd., Surprise, AZ 85374 with interment at the Sunland Memorial Park, 15826 Del Webb Blvd., Sun City, AZ 85351 at 1:00pm. There will be no visitations.
