Amado Rodriguez Carrero, aged 90 years Forever Young, joined his mother (doña
Fundadora), and his father (don Amalio) in Eternal Rest on 25 MARCH 2025. Amado was a
local hero in and around Añasco, Puerto Rico — The brave and fabled municipality in
which he was born.
Amado was a lifelong fitness enthusiast, a small business owner, an amateur
powerlifter, a professional wrestler, an amateur bowler, and a Jack-of-All-Trades
handyman. Amado also had an advanced green thumb that he employed for ingredients
used to cook his favorite traditional Puerto Rican dishes. He was a central figure in his
adopted Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he helped build up the local Latino youth and
adults alike. All these attributes were punctuated with a great sense of humor and a
distinct rambunctious laugh.
Amado made Surprise, Arizona his final home where he was subsequently Reclaimed
to Eternity. He is survived by his remaining siblings (Isabel, Jośe Luis, Primitiva) and by
his four children (Amado Jr, Daniel, Melinda, Sylvia). He is further survived by his
grandchildren (Ezekiel, Michaela, Anaya, Jalen, Isabella, Mila, Amado “Kiki”, Anitra).
