He was born on May 2, 1941 in Beulah, ND to Emil Oster and Sadie Tabert Oster. Tony was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Bernice Fischer, Jerome Oster, and Kathy Ferder.
Tony was a graduate of Mandan High School and went on to earn a Business degree from California State University, San Jose and an MBA from the University of Colorado. He served in the Air Force as a medical corpsman and was a proud member of the military community.
Tony's career in sales spanned over 30 years, culminating in his role as VP of Sales at California Feather & Down. He was highly respected in his industry and was known for his professionalism and work ethic.
Tony was larger than life and was always the life of the party. He loved his family more than anything and never missed a chance to say so. He is survived by his wife, Barbara, sons Jeffrey (Dru) and Chad (Danni), stepchildren Steve and Kathy, grandchildren Kristi, Jessica (Cameron), Kate, Matthew, Joshua, and Holly, and several nieces and nephews. Tony was an avid lover of sports, played golf often, and enjoyed reading and spending time with friends and family.
An intimate celebration of life with family and close friends is being planned. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Tony’s honor to the Military Assistance Mission (MAM) or the Veterans Furniture Center in Phoenix.
Rest in peace, Dad/Papa/Tony. Thank you for your service to our country. Your presence, quick wit, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved you.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.surprisefuneralcare.com for the Oster family.
