ST. YVES, Beverly Jean 62, passed away peacefully on July 05,2021. She is survived by her husband, Richard St. Yves; mother, Janet Schultz; sister, Kathy Schultz of Surprise, Arizona; and twin sister, Tina Goar and her husband Steve Goar of Colorado. She is also survived by her aunt Norma and many cousins. Bev was preceded by her father, John Schultz. Bev loved her family and loved get-togethers, reunions and holidays with family. Beverly was born and raised in Staunton, Illinois. She was “Girl of the Year of the Senior Class” when she graduated from Westminster, California High School in 1976. She was also treasurer of her senior class. She went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management at San Jose State University in 1980. After college Bev worked in the aerospace industry in the accounting and contracting departments for 9 years. Bev was ready for a change and wanted to travel and do more varied and fun jobs. She went to Hawaii and became a scuba diving instructor for 2.5 years. Her next job was working on cruise ships, Celebrity and Norwegian, as a social hostess. She traveled the world and loved every minute of it for 6 years. After that, Bev worked for Maritz Travel for 2 years and was a travel coordinator, who traveled with corporate groups of executives and made sure everything went smoothly and everyone had fun! Next, Bev was ready for another change. She always liked Boston Massachusetts when she traveled there, so she took a job in downtown Boston as an executive secretary. That’s when on September 24,1999 Bev met Rich through a dating site. It was love at first sight! She also worked at Chadwicks of Boston for 4 years before it was time for Bev to have another fun job which she had a passion for. She went to esthetics school and opened her own spa, doing facials, manicures, pedicures and waxing for 8 years. Next up, Bev fulfilled another desire that she always had, teaching students. She taught at esthetic schools for 8 years before retiring in 2020. Bev made all the arrangements for her wedding to Rich at Jackson Lake Lodge in the Grand Tetons Wyoming. Her Mom, sisters, family and friends enjoyed a great day in Bev and Rich’s lives. Everything was perfect. Bev most enjoyed Cooking, Golf, Music, (especially oldies music), Dancing, St.Louis Cardinals Baseball, Reading, Neighborhood Parties and of course Traveling. Bev shot a hole in one on the 7th hole at her hometown golf course Timber Lakes in Staunton, Illinois. Bev and Rich moved into their retirement home in Arizona in February 2017. Bev designed the interior and exterior and did a fabulous job. Bev absolutely loved our Sun City Festival community, neighbors and friends, and our lovely home. Bev also worked at our Sun City Festival community center and she loved meeting and talking to new and existing residents alike. Bev was the most positive, upbeat person you would ever meet. She was always smiling, laughing and giggling. She loved life, did life her way and followed her own path. She was not a follower, instead she led her own life. Her favorite saying was LIVE LOVE LAUGH! Bev fought a courageous battle with cancer for the last 10 years. She remained positive throughout, did not complain and continued to live her life to the fullest. Bev will be forever missed by her family and friends. The family would like to thank Banner Hospice and Buckeye Fire and Rescue for all of their help and caring during Bev’s final days. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society. A Celebration of Bev’s Life will be held on Wednesday July 28,2021 at 11:00 AM at Surprise Funeral Care,16063 W.
