Bruce proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1967 to 1973, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He served as a radio operator during the Vietnam War, demonstrating dedication, strength, and honor in his service.
After his military career, Bruce worked for SP Milling as a truck driver for 28 years. He was known for his strong work ethic, dependability, and commitment to providing for his family.
Bruce is survived by Tricia Whitish, wife of 29 years; his daughters, Kristie (Lyle) Simpson and Michelle Vanier; and his grandchildren, Aubrey, Bailey, and Jackson.
In retirement, Bruce enjoyed golfing, running, and traveling. He appreciated staying active and making the most of his time with family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Surprise Funeral Home in Surprise, Arizona, on March 13, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
Military burial will follow at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix.
