Bryan Timothy Allen was born on April 27, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio, to Donald and Janet (Thacker) Allen. Bryan passed away from Covid-19 complications on February 8, 2021. He is survived by his wife of four years, Joye, his parents, Don and Janet, his sister and brother-in-law, Lori and Dave, his stepdaughters, Nichele and Annaliese, and daughters of his heart, Katy and Gabbi. He studied at the Ohio State University, Ohio University, and American School of Broadcasting.
A beloved radio personality of more than 30 years, Bryan's greatest joy was to play music for people; he loved how a song could make someone feel special. He had a great sense of humor and loved creating an entertaining radio show full of hot bits. Bryan could hit the post better than anyone else.
Bryan was a Christian who was steadfast in his faith. He had a kind heart and truly wanted the best for everyone who was a part of his life. He was a caring, compassionate soul who loved deeply and unreservedly. Bryan wanted nothing more than to see his family and friends happy and worry-free; he hated stress and tension among people. Bryan greeted everyone with a warm, friendly smile, and could light up a room with his smile and laughter. He had a special gift for making everyone he cared for "More."
Bryan loved music, movies, everything Disney, and his Ohio State Buckeyes. He spent his retirement with his family and his music library. He loved playing 'catch the red dot' with his cat, Kenzie. His greatest joy was spending time with his family at Disneyland or at home, watching movies like Back to the Future and Titanic. Bryan knew more movie quotes, and used them in his daily conversations, than anybody else ever could.
Bryan requested donations be made to the American Lung Association, the American Cancer Society, or the American Diabetes Association.
