Carl Theodore Froehlich, a United States Navy Veteran, passed away peacefully at 5:45am on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at the age of 92. He was the husband of Elizabeth Jane Froehlich. They shared 68 loving years together.
Carl was born on March 25, 1926 in St. Louis, Mo to Carl and Florence Froehlich.
In 1944 Carl graduated from University City High School in St. Louis, and then enlisted in the Navy. He is a veteran of WWII, spending his war years on Guam. After the war he attended the University of Missouri at Cape Girardeau where he met Jane, graduating a degree in Business. Most of his career was in St. Louis managing interstate trucking businesses.
He belonged to Desert Garden Church, the Sun City Prides, and spent several years volunteering in the emergency room at Banner Del Webb. Carl always loved working with his hands, especially making beautiful stain glass pieces. He will be remembered for his wonderful personality and heart of gold. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
Carl was preceded in death by his late daughter Beverly Froehlich. He is survived by his loving wife Jane, son Terry Froehlich, grandchildren Stephanie, Jennifer, Steve, Laura, and Carrie and great-grandchildren Matthew and Rylan.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday, February 25, at 11:00am at Desert Garden United Church of Christ 18818 N 128th Ave Sun City West, Arizona 85375.
