

Carol Jean Rodman, age 77, of Surprise, AZ, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, in Phoenix, AZ. She was born on January 4, 1948, in Springfield, Ohio, the youngest of two daughters born to Lonnie and Annabelle Flora Caudill. Carol was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved sister, Sheryl Aldrich.
Carol was married to her loving husband, Monte Rodman, who passed away in 2016. Together, they raised five children, two of whom preceded her in death. She leaves behind her children: Robin Rodman (Todd Veldhuizen) of Surprise, AZ; Paula Rodman (Troye Farmer) of Boise City, OK; and Evan Rodman of Surprise, AZ. She was the proud grandmother of eight grandchildren: Tyler (Robyn), Brett (Lindsey), Ashley (Robert), Kaylee, Julia, Michael (Amber) and Jordan. A Grandson Steven also preceded her in death. She is survived by 18 great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.
Carol also raised a niece, Shari (Keith) Brimhall, and two nephews, Robert (Karen) Brubaker and Kelly Brubaker (deceased), all of Snowflake, AZ. She cherished her relationships with many great nieces and nephews.
A woman of deep compassion, Carol touched the lives of many. She was known for her generosity and willingness to open her heart and home to anyone in need—whether they were people or animals. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to many business ventures, including owning the Cozy Cottage Boutique in Snowflake, AZ, where she and Monte family lived for many years. Carol also had a successful career at Farmers Insurance, from which she retired.
Carol will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend. Her kindness and devotion to her family and community will never be forgotten.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025, at 10:00 AM, with a viewing starting at 9:00 AM, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Sun Valley Ward, 14878 North Verde Vista Drive, Surprise, AZ, 85388. Interment will take place immediately following the service at Phoenix Memorial Park and Mortuary, 200 W. Beardsley, Phoenix, AZ.
