Carole Ferrari Fisher, 83, of Sun City West, AZ, died September 27, 2022 at home after a lengthy and courageous battle with multiple myeloma cancer. Born and raised in Irvington, NJ, she resided in Hamilton Square, NJ until she and her husband, Ray, retired to Arizona in 2003.
Daughter of the late Marie Sweeney Ferrari and Henry Ferrari, she was predeceased by her loving husband Raymond Fisher, her sister, Judith Lofstedt and brother, Charles.
She is survived by her beloved daughter, Sharon Grabarek Hillman, and her husband Rick, cherished grandson Matthew and his fiancé, Lisa Seidler, stepson Gary Fisher and his wife, Laura and their family, sister in law, Clare Berger and her husband, Larry, as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
A 1957 graduate of Irvington High School, Carole’s career was in Property and Casualty Insurance as an assistant Vice President working over 30 years for Rue Insurance in Hamilton, NJ. She was a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) and Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW) and received the 1993 Ruble Scholarship by the Society of Certified Insurance Counselors.
Carole was an avid reader, loved old movies and oldies music, wrote poetry and enjoyed playing cards, mahjong and board games but most of all enjoyed any time spent with family, friends and her sweet rescue dog, Annie. She will be remembered for her generous spirit, quick wit, sense of humor and and the pride of forever being a “Jersey Girl.”
A memorial service and burial will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in her memory to the Multiple Myeloma Foundation or St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
