February 14, 1961March 16, 2020

DEPERTE, Cherie Lynn (Nee Renda), 59 of Waddell, AZ passed away Monday March 16, 2020 after a courageous battle against cancer. Cherie was born on February 14, 1961 in Chicago, IL to Robert and Judith Renda. Cherie graduated from Cary-Grove High School in Cary, IL. She was married to Kevin J. DePerte on July 7, 1995 in Grayslake, IL. Cherie along with her husband resided in Spring Grove, IL where they owned and operated Kevin’s Towing Inc, in Waukegan and Antioch, IL. After selling the business they moved to Arizona where Cherie was employed as an assistant account manager at Alliant Insurance Services. Cherie’s love of sitting on a beach under a palm tree or spending time with family and friends by her pool was known by many. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan and could be heard rooting for her teams when they were winning, and giving them hell when they were losing. Cherie is survived by her husband of 25 years, Kevin; her sons Joshua Cole of Seattle, WA, Adam Cole of San Diego, CA, a daughter, Jerusha Blossom of Livermore, CA; her Grandchildren, Logan, Avi, and Cyrus; brothers, Scott Renda of Palm Springs, CA, and Jeff Renda of Wauconda, IL. She was preceded in death by her mother, Judith in 2005 and a niece, Melanie in 2013. A celebration of Cherie’s life will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Interment will be private. Donations in Cherie’s memory can be made to The American Cancer Society at donate3.cancer.org.
