Cheryl Lynn Simpson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Cheryl Lynn Simpson, a devoted mother, cherished daughter, sister and friend, and beloved member of her community. Her battle with cancer ended the morning of Sunday December 15 at the age of 61, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on August 25, 1963, in Hermosa Beach, CA. Cheryl lived a life defined by both her kindness and her stubbornness. She did things her own way, always needing to discover and define her own path. Known for her kindness, Cheryl would do anything, even at her own sacrifice for those she loved, from her family and friends, to the people she cared for as a hospice CNA. Her creative spirit was expressed through art, quilting, crochet and other various crafts throughout her life.

Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched and the examples she set, especially through the family she is survived by: her two sons Nathan Simpson and Seth Vose, her grandson whom she raised as her own Nevan Wallace, her sisters Pam Jensen and Kim Wilson and her Parents Jim and Darla Wilson. As we say goodbye we take solace in her being reunited with her daughter Nicole Wallace who precedes her in death.

The family would like to thank Dawn Ramos and Candi Jacobs for the dedicated care provided during Cheryl’s final weeks in hospice.

A celebration of life will be held Friday January 10, at 10:30 A.M. at Starlight Memorial Gardens at 1986 E. University Dr. in Tempe, Arizona.
