Daisy Sommers

Daisy was born on June 18th, 1963 in Manhattan, New York, the daughter of Juanita Alejandro and Hijnacio. Since 2023 Daisy called Arizona home. She spent most of her adult life as correctional officer for the department of corrections in Florida. Daisy will be missed by all of her family and friends.

Daisy graduated from W.H Maxwell high school in Brooklyn, NY. She worked for the department of corrections in the state of Pennsylvania and later for the department of corrections in Florida as a corrections officer in which she retired from.

Daisy was a very passionate Christian who was very involved in her church, loved to travel, enjoyed going on cruises with her girlfriends and being with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother Juanita, her father Hinjinio and her brother Alex. She is survived by her loving husband Phil, son Gerard, daughter in law Vanessa, sisters Maria, Jenny and Dorily, brothers Frankie and Reynaldo, grandchildren Armani, Emmy Rae, Natalia, Ramiro and numerous loving nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Maricopa county fire rescue and sheriffs and the emergency dept and ICU staff and Banner Dell E. Webb.
