Dale was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ruth Vogel; his parents, Clare and James Vogel; and his brothers, Jim and Dan Vogel.
He is survived by his brothers, Jack Vogel and Kevin Vogel; his children, Rachel Vogel and her husband, Michael; Colleen Morgenstern and her husband, Erin; and Dale Vogel Jr. and his wife, Cara. He also leaves behind his seven cherished grandchildren—Makayla, Gavin, Natalie, Amelia, Angelina, Anthony, and Michael—and his two beloved great-granddaughters, Hazel and Ellie, all of whom brought him tremendous pride and joy.
After growing up in Pittsburgh, Dale eventually made his home in Columbus, OH where he built lasting friendships that became like family. Following his retirement, he moved to Arizona to be closer to his daughter, Colleen, and her family.
Those who knew Dale best will remember his infectious personality and his ability to bring people together. Among his friends at the Moose Lodge, he was known as the life of the party, especially when karaoke was involved. Whether he was cheering on his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins or sharing laughs with friends and family, Dale had a way of making every gathering a little brighter.
His legacy lives on through the love of his family, the friendships he treasured, and the many memories he created with everyone fortunate enough to know him. Though he will be deeply missed, the laughter he shared, the friendships he built, and the love he had for his family will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
In accordance with Dale’s wishes, no funeral or memorial service will be held. Arrangements are entrusted to Surprise Funeral Care.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to your local Moose Lodge in Dale’s honor, celebrating the friendships and fellowship that meant so much to him.
