Dear Katie,
The last time my husband, Roger, and I, saw you and Dan, it was at your wedding at CSUN. Dan’s mother, Carol, and dad, Phil, were very dear friends of ours. I worked very closely with Carol for 12 years at the University. We were close friends, both in, and out of, school. Carol always sang her praises of her son Dan (actually, both sons), whom she was very devoted to, proud of, and adored.
I cannot even begin to imagine how this sudden loss of your husband is affecting the entire family. You, your children, Dan’s parents, and Tim.
But most of all, Katie, you and your children.
Please know that our hearts go out to you. And know, too, that you have been in my prayers since I heard the heartbreaking news of your husband’s sudden and unexpected departure.
Know that on your new path just ahead, you will not have to walk it alone. Dan will always be there taking each step along the way with you. Quietly by your side. Guiding you, and possibly even holding you up at times. When you may need it; helping you to keep moving forward when you think you can no longer take another step. But you can, and you will.
With God’s Blessings, and our heartfelt sympathy, prayers and love,
Christine and Roger Fearing

I am still in shock and seriously do not want to think you could possibly be gone. I have not seen you for so long but your kind words and actions have always stayed with me. Such a truly sweet heart, mind and good person, you are so missed. My condolences to the family, his friends and co-workers. I cannot even begin to imagine how you all are feeling. I will pray for peace for you all.
