
David (Dave) was born in Corvallis, Oregon on January 27, 1944, to parents Glen Edwin Jeffery and Marjory Joan (Davidson) Jeffery. Dave and his mother moved back to Meade, Kansas where his father joined them after serving overseas during WWII. Dave resided there with his family until leaving for college at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, KS. While there, he became an active member of the Sigma Chi Fraternity.
He gave twenty years of serving and protecting our country that he so loved. He served in the US Army as a distinguished Ordnance Officer, an Executive Officer to the Deputy of Research and Development, Commander of the Louisiana Ammunition Plant, Shreveport, Louisiana, and last served in the Pentagon working in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense. He helped to develop the Hellfire and Patriot missiles among other projects. During his years of service, he received many accommodations and medals, of which was the Legion of Merit. He retired from the Pentagon in 1987 as a Lieutenant Colonel before moving to California to work for Northrop Grumman and later as a consultant for Boeing and other government contractors. While in California, he served on the NASA Board. His education included a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Chemistry and a Master of Business Administration from UCI.
Dave and Norma moved to Peoria, AZ in 2014 where they have found a wonderful network of friends. Dave loved the Lord, his country, and his family and friends who will miss him dearly.
He is survived by his wife, Norma, her children, and grandchildren, two sisters, Janice (Harley) Partridge of Wichita, KS, Lori (Tim) Ross of Meade, KS, five nieces, five great nieces and two great nephews.
