

David Thomas Laughlin, 81, of Surprise Arizona joined the Lord November 30. 2013 and is now with his beautiful bride, Sharon, of 52 years. He died peacefully while surrounded by family. David was the son of Thomas and Eleanor Laughlin. He attended Rock Hurst College, served as an Air Traffic Controller in the United States Air Force for 4 years during the Korean War and was a member of the Kennington Choraleers of Indianapolis. David was a courageous entrepreneur and a devout Catholic. He enjoyed golf, the Chicago Bears, poker, reading, cooking and Louis Prima. He gave immense love along with much laughter to his nine children, Martin, Padraic, Joseph, Brendan (Celia), Moira, Sean, Tadhg Laughlin and Sheilagh (Todd) Gibbons. He was a fun Papa to Cassandra, Patrick, Ryan, Anna Beth, Margaret, Michael, Conor, Declan and Claddagh-Rose, a great brother to Monsignor Martin Laughlin, James (Sue), John (Eileen), a cherished uncle to many nieces and nephews. David is preceded in death by his brother Tom, grandson Aidan, nephew and godson James, and son Michael, and may flights of angels sing thee to thy rest. David knew how to have a good time, and all of us will remember those times and him every day. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Parkinson Foundation in hope for better medicine and ultimately one day cure. The Holy Sacrifice will be offered 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 4, 2013 at St. Clare of Assisi Catholic Church, 17111 W.
