ANDRUS, Diane Jean Dragstedt (1929-2018) Diane Jean Dragstedt Andrus, age 88, of Missoula Montana, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2018, at her home in Surprise, Arizona surrounded by her daughters and caregivers. Diane was born December 7th, 1929, in Missoula, Montana to Carl and Evelyn Dragstedt. While in high school, Diane was the class president and cheerleader at Missoula County High School. Diane attended the University of Montana and also Mills College in Oakland, California. Diane was also a Sigma Kai Sweetheart, and was pinned by her future husband, Wyman Andrus. Diane received a degree in Interior Design from Highline Community College, and later worked as an Interior Designer bringing much beauty and creativity to many homes and families. On September 6th, 1950 Diane J. Dragstedt married William Wyman Andrus in Missoula, Montana. The couple moved to Seattle, Washington so that Wyman could begin his medical practice. Together they had three daughters: Melanie, Pamela, and Lisa. While in Seattle Diane and Wyman were patrons of the fine arts including the opera, ballet, and symphony. Diane’s hobbies included supporting the Art Museum Guild in Seattle, Washington, traveling to Europe and Hawaii, and raising pedigree dogs and cats. Survivors include her daughters Melanie, Pamela, and Lisa, grandsons Michael and Robert, and sister Carlene. Memorial Services will be held on Saturday August 11, 2018 at 3pm at Unity of Missoula, 546 South Avenue W. in Missoula, Montana, 59801; and also on Saturday September 1, 2018 at 2pm at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 W.
