Don Louis Hutchins

He was born on May 11, 1940, in El Paso, Texas. Don graduated from Austin High School and went on to earn multiple degrees from Vanderbilt University and Arizona State University, including a master’s degree in education.

On April 10, 1968, Don married Delma Ree Hutchins in El Paso, Texas. He dedicated his career to education, working in various capacities at multiple high schools, colleges, and universities in Texas and Arizona. Don was a passionate educator, particularly devoted to teaching teenagers and college students.

In addition to his professional life, Don was a member of The Barber Shoppers and the El Maida Shrine Temple.

He is survived by his son, CJ Hutchins; grandchildren, Macey Chance, April Hutchins, Abbie Osguthorpe, and Christopher Hutchins; and other family members, Charlie Tupper, Cindy Pittman, and Bill Ruddock.
