Donald R. Porter, 77, of Surprise, Arizona, passed away on January 6, 2013. Don was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Before retirement, he had worked as a Foreman and Head of Quality Control in silverware manufacturing. He had a beautiful voice, loved to dance, play bocce ball and pool. Don will be dearly missed by all those who loved him. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Al and John Porter and sister, Dorothy Auger. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Marie Porter, children, Karen Porter and Steven Porter, grandchildren, Kristen Porter, Daniel Porter and Hannah Larabee and brother, Frank Porter. A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 W. Bell Rd., Surprise, Arizona, 85374.
