Elaine F Love

Elaine Franklin Love, born October 5th, 1944 in Birmingham Alabama, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2024 in Surprise, Arizona. Her husband of 59 years preceded her in death December 2023.She was the devoted mother of Valerie Miner, Todd and Troy Love. She was the loving sister of Fran Abernathy, her late brother Miles Franklin and sister in law Carol Love. She was the proud Gramma of Angelina Valenzuela, Shannon Lee, Sydney Wagoner, Brigit Miner, Breck Miner, Tyler Love, Rickelle Miner, and her late grandson Connor Miner. She was a loving Great Gramma to Eva Valenzuela and Elsie Wagoner.

Elaine was a born and bred southern girl. Most of her life was spent moving around quite a bit due to the fact that her father worked for the Central Railroad. She lived in Alabama, Georgia , South Carolina, and Virginia to name a few.

Elaine attended Purdue University in Indiana where she met and married Don Love in March of 1964. She supported her husband Don while he was in the Marine Corps. She gave birth to their daughter, Valerie, in Virginia, followed by their first son Todd, born in Texas, and their youngest son Troy, who was born in Minnesota. In 1979 she and her husband moved to Danville, California where she was a realtor for Coldwell Banker and retired in her late 40’s. In retirement she and her husband traveled in an RV all over the United States and Mexico. They settled in Montana, then moved back to California before their final move to Arizona.

Elaine loved to sew and garden, and could make any home a beautiful place to live and love. She had a gift of adding class and style to anything. She loved the beach and would travel often to the beautiful California coast. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed hiking. She found joy and happiness in her marriage , children ,grandchildren and great grandchildren. Elaine will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery with her husband. She will be missed so much.
