Elizabeth Anne Leonard

Was born in Bramwell West Virginia on March 21, 1926, to the union

Of Jones and Willie Bauguess. Mom was the 10 th and last child born to her parents.

Mom was raised in West Virginia and graduated High School ahead of her class at Bramwell High School. After High School, she went to live with her eldest brother in Cuba for the summer before heading off to live in California with her mother. There she met her handsome husband George Hansen. They were married over 25 years and produced two daughters before divorcing. In 1970 she remarried to Bob Leonard, an electrician, and moved from Butte County to Humboldt County. They were together until his passing in 1996.

In 2008, mom moved to Surprise, Az, to live closer to her eldest daughter Jackie and husband Ron Coslett.

In her younger years mom worked for the telephone company as a long distance operator before she became a licensed cosmetologist. She worked on and off in this industry until the 80's.

Mom enjoyed many hobbies. She was a fantastic artist and loved to paint portraits and just about anything. She loved to watch the birds and hummingbirds. She also enjoyed gardening. She put the true meaning of "shop till you drop". She could out shop the best and couldn't resist a bargain. Mom also enjoyed a good glass of wine and going to "outback" for dinner.

Mom is survived by her daughters Jackie (Ron) Coslett of Surprise , AZ and Tammie Hansen of McKinleyville, CA. She also has 5 grandchildren, Janet Meiers; (IL) Justin (Cary) Price (England, UK); Trevor (Candice) Still, (Eureka); Christopher Still (McKinleyville); Cory Grabow-Hansen (Arcata); 4 great-grandchildren ,Evann & Nathan Meiers; Hunter Price; and Kale Still and numerous nieces and nephews. She was proceeded in death by her parents and all 9 of her siblings; her first husband George Hansen ; and second husband Bob Leonard.

Mom, we were so lucky to have you with us through most of our adult years. You will always be in our hearts.

You came into the world on March 21, and left us 86 years later on your birthday. We love you and miss you already...Happy Birthday Mom.
