

Eraina Miles Factory was born in Newport News, Virginia on July 2nd, 1956, to parents Walter Edward Miles and Juanita Janet Miles. Eraina lived a life full of unwavering faith and devotion to God that she shared with her husband, Darnell Factory Sr. and their children, Carlson A. Holloway-Factory Sr., Michael Factory, and Darnell Factory Jr.
Eraina was raised in Newport News, Virginia and after graduating high school, joined the army in 1979. She was stationed at many destinations throughout the country and world. Before her army career began, she gave birth to Carlson A. Holloway-Factory Sr. at the age of 16, and Michael Factory at the age of 19. While stationed in Texas, she was introduced to her husband, Darnell Factory Sr., by a mutual friend. They married August 1st, 1981, in a small ceremony in San Antonio, Texas. Following their marriage, they were stationed in Hawaii, where they welcomed their third son, Darnell Factory Jr. into the world. Shortly after they would relocate to Bothell, Washington where they would continue to raise their three boys.
Following her retirement from the army in 2001, Eraina was determined to further her education and start a new career. In January 2005, she graduated Magna Cum Laude, with a bachelor’s degree in Ministry Leadership from Northwest University in Kirkland, Washington. In November 2006, she received her certificate of license given by Abundant Life Christian Church, as a Minister in Preaching and Teaching. She rounded out her studies with a post baccalaureate degree in Elementary Education Teaching from Western Governors University, Salt Lake City, Utah. After completing her education, she would go on to substitute teach elementary and middle school students for several years.
Eraina lived a devoted life. You would often find her studying her bible, listening to Joyce Meyer, and gospel music. She shared her love for Jesus with everyone that she met. Her character was bold and unapologetic, but her heart, big and full of love for others, especially her family. After retiring for a second time, Eraina and Darnell Factory Sr. relocated to Surprise, Arizona, in 2016. She would live out her days in scripture and playful banter with those she loved.
On December 22, 2022, she passed away peacefully with family by her side. She is survived by her husband, Darnell Factory Sr., and their children, Carlson A. Holloway-Factory Sr. (Jennifer Holloway-Factory), Michael Factory (Dawn West) and Darnell Factory Jr.; grandchildren, Carlson Holloway-Factory Jr., Valencya Holloway-Factory, Corey Holloway-Factory, D’Andre Timpson, Jarrin Hatt and Autumn Factory; great-grandchildren, Allyssa, Emilia, Burgundy, Corey Jr., and Josiah; her sister, Carolyn Snow (James Snow); her sister Patricia Hill; her brother, Walter Miles (Binita Miles); her brother, Robert Miles (Wakeya Miles) and a host of nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Walter Edward Miles and Juanita Janet Miles, and her sister Lilly Wilson.
A visitation for Eraina will be held Friday, January 13, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at Surprise Funeral Care, 16063 W. Bell Rd, Surprise, AZ 85374, followed by a memorial service at 10:30 AM. A committal service with military honors will take place at 12:30 PM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd, Phoenix, AZ 85024.
